Norrköping Science Park and Linköping Science Park will be the main partners of Visual Forum, which will be held on September 30th. The event is arranged by the visualization cluster Visual Sweden in Östergötland and Visual Arena in Lindholmen Science Park, Gothenburg.
– Linköping Science Park is part of Visual Forum to help highlight the region’s cutting edge in visualization and image analysis, says Lena Miranda, CEO of Linköping Science Park. We have strong companies as well as research environments that create a breeding ground for development and innovation. We are looking for new partners who can contribute to the continued development of our ecosystem, both nationally and internationally. By bringing the industry together within the framework of Visual Forum, we look forward to growing our contact network and helping to create and matching new contact surfaces to promote future innovation.
Visual Forum has been arranged several times over the years, something that Norrköping Science Park’s employee Bo Sundborg has fond memories of.
– My first visit was in 2007, two years later I got to experience 4K for the first time, also at the Visual Forum which has the potential to be 10 times bigger. I am convinced that it will be both bigger and more important in just a few years, Bo says.
Now the forum is back, this time in digital form. The theme for this edition is digital twins in society and industry where the participants will find out what digital twins are, what it can be used for and what the advantages and disadvantages look like.
– We are working on developing the strength area visualization in Östergötland in different ways and we see this specific event as an important part of that work. The fact that digital twins are a very hot area only makes it even better, says Dag Forsén, operations manager at Norrköping Science Park.
